Anza Borrego

The desert is a popular spot to get away in southern California. Many off road enthusiasts enjoy hitting the desert for the weekend to navigate quad trails or take their bikes into the dunes. Likewise many get away to the desert for a more natural experience and to enjoy the public campgrounds and hiking trails for outdoor adventurers. Many people come to Anza Borrego to see the sculptures placed there by artist Ricardo Breceda. His massive metal art pieces are scattered around the desert and include prehistoric mammals, historical characters, and a 350 foot long serpent.

When heading into the desert during the summer, staying hydrated is extremely important. We do not recommend taking edibles in such a harsh environment, and a better alternative for consumption would be utilizing a vape cartridge. Vapes are easy to pack and won’t weigh down a backpack while you hike. It’s also a more discrete option to consume cannabis, so you won’t be wafting that familiar smell to other campsites or passerbys on the trail. Try an energizing strain like Green Crack or Jack Herer to keep up your focus and motivation, but once you’re back at camp a heavy OG or cookie cross would be a great way to end the day.

Yosemite National Park

The central valley is mostly agricultural land and not the biggest destination in California, but a true gem lies within. Not too far from the dusty city of Fresno, is one of the most renowned National Parks in the state: Yosemite National Park. Yosemite gained even more popularity through the lens of Ansel Adams, a photographer who shot in black and white and is famous for his stunning Yosemite landscape photos. Just as the waterfalls slow down and the Spring flowers start to wilt, the tides of tourists wash into the national park to get a piece of that summer vacation life.

The park offers a variety of experiences for visitors including rafting trips, guided tours, fishing, rock climbing, star gazing, bird watching, or horseback riding. Any of these activities could be elevated with a recreational cannabis infused edible or cannabis drink, which is also a safer choice than smoking as forest fires are of great concern during the dry summer months. Remember to stay hydrated when consuming edibles!

Humboldt County - The Redwood Curtain

Remote and rugged, the northern California landscape is unlike any other. The redwood trees in Humboldt county are the biggest and oldest trees in the world. The Humboldt forest is filled with redwoods and ferns, an almost ancient looking landscape - maybe that’s why they filmed Jurassic Park 2 amongst the backdrop of the archaic redwood forest. The drive-through tree, Confusion Hill, and Avenue of the Giants are among some of the hotspots for tourists. Likewise Fern Canyon or Wedding Rock are a great lunch hike that reveal unique land formations. Better yet, if you're looking for a cannabis themed trip, you’ve made it to mecca.

Humboldt County - The Redwood Curtain

Humboldt County is the birthplace of many cultivars and is known for producing more cannabis than any other county in the United States. Humboldt is the perfect place to scratch that THC itch in a 420-friendly environment. To enjoy this destination to the fullest we recommend rolling up your own of some loud smelly kush. Not only will you be celebrating the county the way it was meant to be, you might ward off some Sasquatches with that skunky aroma. Or it’s very possible you might just make a friend in this cannabis friendly county!

Big Sur

Big Sur is located on the west coast just south of Monterey, CA. This is a hiker’s paradise with plenty of hiking options for any skill level. Big Sur has been dubbed the longest and most scenic stretch of undeveloped coastline in the contiguous United States. Pffeifer Big Sur State Park is among the most popular of the state parks in Big Sur, located off the western slope of the Santa Lucia mountains. This area has a lot to offer visitors. Not only does it have amazing beaches, but there are plenty of trails that take you inland toward a thriving forest.

Big Sur

Whether you're stopping for a picnic lunch on the beach or setting up camp for the weekend, Big Sur has it all. The Big Sur river gorge also offers a great swimming hole for visitors. And if you’re already this close to Monterey, you might as well check out the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium for a window into marine life. Pack some CBD and THC patches and balms for those sore muscle aches after a hike, and what better way to watch a beach sunset than with some heady concentrates to heighten the experience.

San Diego

Maybe you already live here, and maybe you don’t. There is nothing wrong with being a tourist in your own city and what better place to be a tourist than sunny San Diego. The classiest of America’s cities, San Diego has been dubbed America’s Finest City and the City by the Sea. San Diego is one of the most diverse cities in the state and offers a wide range of worldly food options, craft breweries, and amazing cannabis!

San Diego

The world famous San Diego Zoo is located inside Balboa Park and is surrounded by museums. Balboa Park also has an amazing arboretum inside their Botanical building, a living collection of over 2,000 plant species. If outdoor adventuring is more your pace, San Diego has that too. Trail hikes like Iron Mountain, Cowles, and the Tecolote Canyon all provide dog friendly hiking experiences. Nothing says summer like a baseball game, and Petco park is located in the downtown area of San Diego. Last but not least, San Diego definitely offers some of the best surf spots on the west coast.

San Diego literally has something for everyone, whether you’re into live music, outdoor activities, good food, or just a stellar nightlife experience. What better way to top off a staycation than to pick up your favorite cannabis products from March and Ash. We recommend a pre-roll or vape cartridge while on the go. You can also pick up a Puffco or grab a Grav glass pipe to enjoy some of the best top shelf flower or concentrates that March and Ash has to offer.
